Siemens to provide Azerfon with high-tech telecommunication network equipment

Azerfon LLC, the third GSM operator in Azerbaijan, has signed an agreement with Siemens AG of Germany for the supply, installation and commissioning of advanced network equipment required to establish the new Azerfon network in Azerbaijan.

Azerfon Office in Baku told APA that Siemens AG will provide Azerfon LLC with advanced telecommunication network equipment comprising both base stations and central control systems that will be deployed throughout the territory of Azerbaijan Republic. The equipment meets all the latest technical standards and will provide subscribers of Azerfon LLC with a wide range of high-quality and world class GSM services.
