U.S. assists Azeri government to develop health sector

The USAID-supported PHC project is implemented by a consortium of organizations led by International Medical Corps ( IMC) in cooperation with Abt Associates Inc, Curatio International Foundation, and the Johns Hopkins University Center for Communication Programs.

The PHC Project provides technical assistance to the Government of Azerbaijan in a collaborative effort to strengthen the country's primary health care system.

In his opening speech, Samir Abdullayev, head of the international relations department of Azerbaijan Ministry of Health updated the reforms being implemented in the country. He highlighted significance of the medical enlightenment of population and highly appreciated the US government's support in that way.
