Heydar Babayev meets with IMF mission visiting Baku

Ministry press service told APA that the meeting focused on latest macroeconomic processes, prospects for 2006, implementation of cost estimation for 2006, investment expenditures, macroeconomic policy for 2006, and growth of oil and non-oil sector in the GDP.

Mr. Babayev briefed the guests about sociopolitical situation, economic measures in the counry and said that the investment expenditures rose in proportion with the rise of incomes of the country.

Views were also exchanged on inflation and measures taken by the NBA and the Government to control inflation in one-digit.

Issues on macroeconomic indicators of the Draft State Budget for 2007 and main medium-term fiscal parameters were deliberated upon during the meeting.
