Azerbaijani Caspian Sea Shipping Company negotiates with Russian Federal Agency for River and Sea Transport on permanent transit through Russian inland waters, ACSSC chairman Aydin Bashirov told journalists.

He said that Azerbaijan has already delivered its proposals to Russian side, APA reports." Russia has to make changes and reconsider the regulations for the application of permanent transit. Our 16 vessels have to date crossed Russian inland waters since May. 2 more ships will cross due to the schedule."

Mr. Bashirov said that there is no problem with ferries as they only go to Turkembashi Port.

As to probability of increase of sea transport fees, Mr. Bashirov said that fares for passenger carrying by sea may increase.
