Commission on improvement of payment system meets for the first time

APA reports that commission chief Samir Sharifov presided over the meeting and all reports were heard on work done to pay salaries by payment cards from January 1, 2006 in the structures financed by the state budget.

Views were exchanged on the State Program on creation of centralized payment system, application of modern electronic payment system, alternation of active cash turnover with accumulation of funds in the banks which can be invested in the economy, payment of salaries by plastic card, technical service of cash dispensers, POS-terminals of Azerbaijan National Bank, Azerbaijan International Bank, and Capital Bank and supply of the cash dispensers with money on time.

At the end of the meeting Mr. Sharifov said that area of bank dispensers should be expanded, shops and markets should be provided with POS-terminals.
