Industry & Energy Ministry ceases validity of licenses

In accordance with the information entered the Azerbaijani Industry and Energy Ministry, some gas stations sale liquefied gas at the price exceeding the one, set (15-17gepik/per liter) by the Cabinet Of Ministers on 1 November 2004.

According to Trend, the Ministry established a commission to check up the information. It visited and held examinations at 45 gas stations in Baku and the northern regions of the country.

The document says that the commission revealed that some gas stations sold gas at 20 gepik per liter that was serious violation of terms and requirements of the license.

In accordance with the 2 September 2002 President's decree on improvement of the rules of issue of licenses for some activities, the Ministry made a decision on ceasing of validity of licenses for 3 months in the Devichi district of Baku, as well as the regions Guba and Khachmaz. Owners of licenses and appropriate local state tax bodies were informed in regard to this.

In the future the Ministry will regularly conduct check-up and impose strict measures in respect to the enterprises and companies violating the rules.
