Georgia has to repay electricity debt only for 1997-1998

The Georgian party has completely repaid electricity received from Azerbaijan during energy crisis happened in Georgia on January 22.

As APA informs citing the president of the Azerenergy Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC) Etibar Pirverdiyev, Azerbaijan transmitted 30 megawatts of electricity to Georgia daily for removing energy crisis.

The Azerenergy president said that Georgia had to repay electricity debt to Azerbaijan only for 1997-1998 and this debt is 28 million kWh.

According to Mr.Pirverdiyev, issue on repayment of the debt will be solved soon.
