Electricity price not to be raised this year

Price of electricity sold to population will not be raised this year.

As APA reports, this statement was made by the President of the Azerenergy Open Joint-Stock Company Etibar Pirverdiyev.

According to Mr.Pirverdiyev, despite twice increase of natural gas in price, the government has not been requested to raise electricity in price.

Net cost of electricity exceeds 200 manats (4 kopecks) for 1 kWh at present. Actually, electricity is sold to population for 96 manats (1.92 kopecks).
