Turkish construction exhibition opens in Baku

An exhibition of Turkish construction and construction materials "Turk Inshaat-2005" opened at the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex on Tuesday, Trend reports. Attending the opening ceremony were Abid Sharifov, the Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister, Turan Moraly, the Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Bulent Erten, a member of Expotim, an organizer of the show.

Noting the importance of the 4-day event Sharifov stressed that the Turkish companies held the first show in Azerbaijan. "Azerbaijan upgrades the construction sector and there are big perspectives. It is observed not only in the capital, but also in the regions. So, the Turkish companies and entrepreneurs think there is a great market in Azerbaijan. As a result, there appear new companies in the market," Sharifov stressed.

The deputy of the Prime Minister noted that Turkish companies participated in huge projects in Azerbaijan, in particular the construction of the first gas steam device at Shimal Hydro-Power Station, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, roads. In return Turkish Ambassador said that Baku becomes an important and sole source capital in the region and a number of economic projects are implemented in the country.

The show hosts 75 companies from Turkey, with 70 for the first time participating in Azerbaijan. The exhibition will particularly demonstrate construction materials, modern doors and windows, marble, construction devices and appliances.
