Consultations on development of Azerbaijani-Polish relations to take place in Warsaw

A delegation headed by the Vice-Premier of the Azerbaijan’s government Abid Sharifov is in Warsaw now.
A delegation is taking part in the XXV economic forum to be held from 7 September to 10 September 2005 in the capital city of Poland, the advisor of the Polish Ambassador in Azerbaijan Voytsech Guretski told Trend.

According to the diplomat, the forum is similar to the “Davos” forum, where politicians, prime-ministers, presidents of the Central European countries, in particular, Ukraine, Poland, Slovaklia, Hungary and other countries gather, as well as business people and journalists, where prospects of economic cooperation of the Central European countries are discussed. Azerbaijan also takes part in the forum, and this time the country is represented at the high level and it is important for us, the diplomat said.

According to him, a number of bilateral meetings of heads of government delegations and businessmen are planned in the framework of the forum. The vice-premier of the Azerbaijan’s government will hold official and informal meetings both with representatives of other countries and with the Polish side. Perspectives of bilateral Azerbaijan-Polish relations will be discussed at the meetings, Guretski underlined.
