AIOC sets to drilling of producing well at Chirag

The works is supposed to last for 90 days. (Trend)

AIOC noted that the well is being drilled vertically and the Company will install a gravel-packed filter after completion of the work. It has drilled 19 wells at the Chirag so far with 11 producing wells in operation and 5 water-injection wells in operation. The rest three are inactive.

Average daily oil production at the Chirag is supposed to exceed 134,000 barrel per day in 2005.
