More air companies want to fly to Azerbaijan

Those who prefer to go unbeaten path, to explore less visited places and check national charisma will undoubtedly have an interesting experience in Azerbaijan, a small country in Southern Caucasus on the edge of Europe. 

More and more air companies intend to implement flights to this rather newly-discovered travel destination on the world tourism map.

Russian airline "IrAero" will open new flights from the cities of Irkutsk and Krasnoyarsk to Baku this June.

The first flight on the Irkutsk-Krasnoyarsk-Baku route and back will be performed by the airline on June 4, and further be performed twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays.

The new flight will be serviced by Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft.

IrAero is an air carrier based in Irkutsk, Russia. The company provides domestic and international scheduled passenger services, charter and cargo flights.

Besides, the Kuwait-based Jazeera Airways chose Azerbaijan as the first destination to launch of new direct flights to Eurasia, starting with Baku.

The company will start flights to Baku on June 23. Jazeera Airways will provide a frequency of two weekly flights scheduled on Mondays and Fridays to the city, hailed as a popular destination for summer vacationers.

Onur Air, a Turkish low-cost airline, plans to resume flights to Azerbaijan.

Onur Air announced that it plans to launch direct flights between Baku and Turkey’s Trabzon, and the first regular direct flight from Baku to Trabzon is scheduled for June 17.

The price of a round-trip ticket will start at 99 euros. The flights will be carried out every Saturday.

Earlier, Onur Air carried out flights from Turkey’s Istanbul to Azerbaijan’s Ganja city.
