BTC carries over 2.8 million tones of oil in May

The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) export pipeline transported 2,865,014 tons of Azerbaijan`s oil in May.

In January-May, a total of 12,636,425 tones of oil were exported through the pipeline. Since the start-up the pipeline has shipped 218,263,150 tons of crude.

Also in April, some 279,989 tons of crude oil from Turkmenistan were transported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan route, according to SOCAR.
