Iteca Caspian to kick off season with series of exhibitions in April

This April marks the opening of Iteca Caspian`s international exhibition season in Azerbaijan, which consists of 10 exhibitions and a conference, including both established events and new launches taking place from 4 to 6 April.

The exhibition season will be opened with the leading event of the tourism industry: the 20th anniversary of Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition, which was the first specialized exhibition to be held in Azerbaijan, as well as AITF 2013, the 12th Azerbaijan International Tourism Fair.

Companies and organizations from 34 countries will exhibit this year – 16 of these countries bringing national stands to the event – with regular exhibitors joined this year by newcomer countries such as Morocco, Hungary, Slovenia, Thailand, Tunisia, France and Montenegro.

A large regional presentation will also be on display, promoting Azerbaijan`s tourism potential by showcasing regions of the country such as Khachmas, Gusar, Guba, Gabala, Sheki, Ismayilli, Lankaran, Oguz and Naftalan. AITF 2013 has been actively supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan since its launch, and the event is also officially supported by the UN World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO).

Azerbaijan`s recent hotel boom underlines the importance of HOREX Caucasus 2013, the 7th Caucasus International Hospitality Fair held at the same time as AITF at Baku Expo Center. Leading companies presenting well-known brands in hospitality are among the exhibitors.
CATEF 2013, the international Caspian Aqua Technologies Exhibition and Forum, will be launched at the Baku Expo Center on 11 April. Organized on the initiative of and supported by Azersu JSC, CATEF is designed to help develop international cooperation and promote exchanges of opinion, as well as introducing the latest technology for water supply and sewerage, wastewater and rainwater treatment, pipe infrastructure, and pollution reduction in rivers and reservoir.
WorldFood Azerbaijan 2013, the largest food industry exhibition in the Caspian Region, will take place from 22 to 24 May. Companies from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, India, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Poland, Russia, Turkey and Sweden will present their products and services, and Latvia and Iran will bring national stands to the event. This year’s event will see particularly active participation from dairy, confectionery, chocolate and fish producers and suppliers of refrigeration equipment.

From 4 to 7 June 2013, oil and gas industry professionals will focus their attention on the biggest energy event in the Caspian Region – the Caspian Oil & Gas exhibition and conference, which is being held for the 20th time this year. This anniversary, marked with a series of events with Caspian Oil & gas, falls on a significant date – it is 90 years since the birth of Heydar Aliyev, Azerbaijan’s National Leader who was at the forefront of the event`s foundation.

The first half of the 2013 exhibition calendar will also be rounded off by TransCaspian 2013; the 12th international transport, transit and logistics exhibition and Road & Traffic 2013, the 3rd Caspian International Road Infrastructure and Public Transport Exhibition, both held from 13 to 15 June. The two events will be packed with new developments in rail transport, public transport, underground rail construction and port equipment.
