Over $200 MN invested in private enterprises in Azerbaijan

Around 160 million manat were invested in enterprises privatized in Azerbaijan through investment contests in 2012, Chairman of the State Property Committee Kerem Hasanov said at a board meeting today, the committee reported.

"Around 600 state enterprises were privatized during small enterprise privatizations in 2012," he said. "Land plots with 620 facilities were privatized."

He added that the shares of 32 joint-stock companies were privatized at 53 cash and specialized cash auctions.

As of January 1, 2013, data for about 143,837 real estate facilities of 13,841 state agencies and branches were included in the state property register.

"Around 20 legal draft documents regulating state property governance, privatization, property rights registration, as well as areas related to real estate cadastre were prepared in 2012," Hasanov said.
