Azerigaz to turn to alternative energy

To protect the environment and fulfill the measures considered in the State Program on usage of alternative and renewable energy sources, it’s planned to apply turbodetander devices which allow producing of power energy by using from internal energy of gas in gas transportation systems of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan’s Azerigaz PU.

SOCAR says according to Azerigaz’s proposal, to apply the turbodetander devices for production of power energy by using gas pressure potential in Garadagh, Digah, Mingechaur and Shirvan Gas Distributing Stations, the Neftqazelmit?dqiqatlayih? Institute has prepared the feasibility study. At present, Azerenergy has received appeal on giving of technical condition to transfer the power energy, to be produced in turbodetander device in Mingechaur GDS, to the network. The issues on areas for conduction of planned works have also been solved.
