In August, about 8000 people used the services of the www.icazeler.gov.az portal created in Azerbaijan to inform them about the authorisation of documents for business, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development said on Monday.
"More than 300 of those using the portal came from the US, Great Britain, Germany, France, Austria, Russia, South Korea, Turkey, Switzerland, Belgium, Norway, Ireland, and Spain," the ministry said. "Over 32,000 have used this portal since its launch."
The portal contains the draft legislative acts of central executive bodies to increase awareness in entrepreneurs and their participation in the development of legislative acts.
The portal represents a single information source for businessmen. There are the samples of necessary documents and procedures for obtaining and submitting the documents to start or expand business.
There is a section on services on the portal. Bills relating to the field of entrepreneurship and development by central and local executive bodies will be placed there.
Establishing a portal is envisaged by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's decree on 'Some issues related to licensing and permit system required to deal with certain types of entrepreneurship'.
