Growth recorded in wheat production

As of August 6, 2012, Azerbaijan has produced 1,835,037 tons of wheat, up 12.2% from year earlier.

According to Ministry of Agriculture, reaping area of spring and autumnal cereals and cereals leguminous plants makes 995,888 ha and as of August 6, 984,343 ha of this area has already been reaped. During the period, 2,594,206 tons of cereals and cereals leguminous plants have been produced, up 13.4% in comparison to a year earlier. Productivity made 26.4 centner/ha, up 6.9% compared with a year ago.

At the same time, the area to be reaped for wheat production made 687,982 ha and 682,629 ha has been reaped. 1,835,037 tons of wheat has been produced, up 12% from year earlier.

Productivity stood at 26.9 centner/ha, up 7.2% from year ago.
