Baku TPP ups power generation

In January-May, Baku thermal power plant generated 219 million kilowatt hours of electricity and over 174,000 Gcal of thermal energy, SC Azerenergy" (electricity production and distribution in Azerbaijan) said on Monday.

According to the report, in May, the thermal power plant generated more than 42.6 million kilowatt hours of electricity and about 14,400 Gcal of thermal energy.

The Baku thermal power plant is essential in providing Baku with electricity and thermal energy. The plant consists of two gas turbines with capacity of 53.5 megawatt each.
