Baku office of Air Astana company has made a statement on forced landing of Almaty-Baku flight, APA reports.

According to information, during the flight, signalization started at the back cargo place of Airbus A320 aircraft. The signalization was started as a result of the smoke.

So, the aircraft was landed at Shimkent airport at 11.20. the passengers were immediately evacuated and cargos were unloaded. The problem was determined and solved. The bag filled with medicines caused the smoke.

No damage and casualties were reported. Investigation is underway on the fact. As soon as the necessary procedures are carried out, the passengers will be sent to Baku.

An aircraft of Air Astana Airline carrying out Almaty-Baku flight made an emergency landing at the Symkent Airport on Friday, Heydar Aliyev International Airport told Trend.

The aircraft was supposed to arrive in Baku at 12:55 Baku time. However, due to a forced landing the flight was delayed until 15:30. The aircraft landed in Shymkent at 10:21 Baku time, the airport said. The airport did not disclose the reason for landing.

Aircraft Airbus 320-200 carried out the flight KS 111.

According to the Kazakh Agency KazTAG, no one was injured as a result of landing.

"The aircraft has technical problem. The flight KS 111 Almaty-Baku was forced to land in Shymkent," the aircraft passenger Serdaly Ibzhanov told KazTAG correspondent on Friday.

According to the passenger, those evacuated from the aircraft are in the station building. Rescue, ambulance and fire service work on the site.
