Taxes Ministry initiates 25 criminal cases on tax evasion

The Department of Preliminary Investigation of Tax Crimes of the Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan has filed 25 criminal cases in May.

The Ministry reports that 7 criminal cases were initiated on facts of large-scale tax evasion.

"In the course of investigation it was revealed deliberate distortion of information in the submitted tax returns and damage to the state budget for AZN 103,000 by companies Elmar and C?lil, for AZN 364,240 by Araz-?n?aat LLC, for AZN 74,790 by Qlobal-S Ltd,” it was reported.

According to the results of another investigation carried out in construction company Olimp it was revealed the fact of evasion from simplified tax and tax from the source of income of hired employees for AZN 231,580. Evasion from VAT for AZN 118,980 was revealed in Aznavi LLC.

There were also found out facts of large-size tax evasion in Saf T?chizatç? Ltd and T?mir Tikinti Servis-S.

The Department initiated criminal proceedings on all the facts.
