Azerbaijan ups agricultural production

In Q1, 2012, total agricultural production in Azerbaijan rose 4.5% in comparison to a year earlier, Minister of Agriculture Ismat Abasov told journalists, APA reports.

To him, works in agricultural sphere will be more intensive in the coming months: ‘And it let us say that we will achieve higher successes in this sphere within this year’.

The minister also added that about 5 ha area was allotted in Aghjabedi and Beylagan regions for farming connected with seedage: ‘The number of such economies ill be increased after the achievement of positive results’.
