'Azerbaijan’s economic policy allows facing possible risks successfully'

The economic policy conducted in Azerbaijan and opportunities allow the country to successfully face the risks, chairman of the Azerbaijani Central Bank (CBA) Elman Rustamov said during the presentation of a special issue of "The Business Year", dedicated to Azerbaijan today.

"At present, the world economy faces with a dilemma between stability and socio-political stability," he said. "In particular, the situation in some developed countries causes concern. The process of balancing the economy, bringing it into balance passes quite intensively. All this is the result of the global economic crisis of 2007-2009."

Azerbaijan was one of few countries that overcame the crisis with dignity.

The recent mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has analyzed the situation in Azerbaijan. It came to the conclusion that the country has the potential to successfully face the risks in the global economy, head of the Central Bank said.
