Azerbaijan sees rise in per capita incomes

In the first quarter of 2012 from 65.7 thousand employees engaged in transport enterprises, 76.2 % worked in state enterprises, 23.8% in private sector. 55.0 % of employees worked in surface and pipeline, 15.2 % in water, 8% air transport and 21.8% in enterprises providing support and additional transport activities.

Average monthly incomes of transport workers compared to January-2011 increased by 11.1% and became 469.0 AZN. This indicator in air transport was formed 963.2 AZN, in sea transport – 643.1 manat, in automobile transport – 418.6 AZN and 206.0 AZN in railway transport. Incomes in sea transport increased by 20.2%, in air transport – 8.7%.

Numbers of employees engaged in information and communication enterprises were 25.3 thousand person, average monthly salary/wage of per employee increased by 3.9 % and became 618.5 AZN.
