IOTA gives recommendations to Azerbaijan

The European Organization of Tax Administrations (IOTA) has recommended that the Azerbaijani tax bodies pay more attention to create a dialogue with taxpayers, Head of the Working Group on management of tax debts of the Intra-European Organization of Tax
Administrations (IOTA) Evgenius Soldatkovas told media today. The first session began in Baku on Tuesday.

"We recommend paying more attention to create a dialogue between the tax administration and taxpayers, rather than using any compulsory measures," he said.

He said that Azerbaijan has a positive experience in the field of tax administration. "In particular, an increase in sources of information on taxpayers should be stressed," he said.

The experts on the management of tax arrears from 20 IOTA countries-members attend the meeting. The Working Group will continue working until March 8.
