SOCAR works to ensure transparency

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) implements all the necessary work to ensure transparency and public information, SOCAR vice president Suleyman Gasimov said during the conference "Prospects of EITI: A View from Azerbaijan," in Baku.

"SOCAR makes the preparation and publication of consolidated annual reports on the activities that are available to all government agencies, foreign companies and public organizations," Gasimov said.

All necessary data and information relating to the activities of the company, both inside and outside of Azerbaijan is regularly published on the State Oil Company site, gasimov added.

Innovation was the beginning of employment in SOCAR on the basis of electronic messages and through the State Commission on Student Admission. It allows to ensure maximum transparency of the process and minimizing the presence of his course of subjective factors.

"All this is the great achievements in ensuring transparency and openness of SOCAR for the society," Gasimov said.

Trilateral cooperation in the framework of EITI is important and should create conditions for further development initiatives in the long term, the representative of BP Araz Yusubov said.

Yusubov noted that BP is an active participant in multilateral group of companies involved in the initiative.

BP regularly submits reports to the public to ensure the transparency of its activity in Azerbaijan. The results of oil and gas projects, the volume of production and transportation, part of the company and its partners in social projects are reflected there.

Another important indicator of the company's activities to ensure transparency is the publication of annual reports on sustainable development.
