'Azerbaijan, Romania keen on expanding relations'

Vice-President of Azerbaijan State Oil Company (SOCAR) Elshad Nasirov has met Romanian Presidential Security Advisor, Iulian Fota. Nasirov said Azerbaijan-Romania relationship is developing successfully in all spheres. He expressed confidence that energy cooperation between the two countries would further expand.

The Vice-President also briefed Fota on the system of oil and gas export routes. Fota, in turn, said he is aware of the successes of SOCAR. He noted Romanian companies are interested in development of cooperation with Azerbaijan in all spheres of economy, particularly energy one.

The sides also exchanged views on Azerbaijan`s role in energy security of Europe, possible gas transport routes and other issues of mutual interests. Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Romania Eldar Hasanov and Romanian ambassador to Azerbaijan Daniel Cristian Ciobanu were present in the meeting.
