CBA creates portal for e-tax payment

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) is working to create a portal to pay taxes and state fees based on the Komis platform, CBA official Kamala Gurbanova said at the forum "Tax system in Azerbaijan: realities and perspectives" in Baku today.

"The first initiative was made by the Tax Ministry," she said. "The first stage, which involves data loading about 20,000 taxpayers into the system has been completed."

She said an opportunity will be created to make payments while using the Komis system on 90 types of payments by late February.

As of late 2011, payments worth 99 billion manat were made through AZIPS system, XONKS and Komis. The bank is the owner and operator of the KOMIS system.
