CBA to up issue of notes

The State Securities Committee (SSC) of Azerbaijan registered a prospectus of short-term notes issue of the Central Bank (CBA) in the amount of 2.5 billion manat, the State Committee reported. Placing notes issue is expected in 2012. Under the issue 25 million bonds AZN 100 per each were registered.

During the first three quarters CBA under the activation of sterilization operations, issued notes with total value of 987 million manat. So, 519.7 million manat of the notes worth 617 million manat offered for auction have been placed. At the last auction, an average yield of notes was 2.72 percent, although at the beginning of the year the figure was 2.2 percent.

By late last week, the volume of notes in circulation amounted to 68.7 million manat. In 2011 the Central Bank registered the prospect of issue worth two billion manat.
