Azerbaijani diaspira in Sweden has opened its own ArazTV television channel and had it registered with the Taxes Agency and Radio TV association of the country.

The television channel will be on air twice a week in Swedish and Azerbaijani languages, Rahim Sadigbayli, Azerbaijani film director who lives in Sweden, said.

“We are going to complete a very big project soon. We will announce a contest among Azerbaijani youth to recruit presenters. The key requirements are excellent command of Swedish and Azerbaijani languages,” Sadigbayli added.

He said ArazTV will not express interests of any political organization.

“We are interested in transparent relations with all diaspora organizations. At first, our TV will act as an open channel and a non-profit organization. We are ready to cooperate with all organizations. Our TV will be able to organize live broadcasts from anywhere in Europe, including from Turkey and Russia. We wll be able to organize live broadcasts from the conventions and conferences of diaspora organizations from any country,” the Azerbaijani film director noted.
