The Ministry of Youth and Sports has released the ranking of national team athletes in Olympic sports as of April 1, AzerNEWS reports.

Wrestlers hold the top two spots. Leading the list with 480 points is Greco-Roman wrestler Hasrat Jafarov, followed closely by freestyle wrestler Giorgi Meshvildishvili with 460 points. Judo athlete Zelym Kotsoiev ranks third with 440 points.

The rest of the top ten includes Greco-Roman wrestler Ulvi Ganizade, who has 400 points. Judo competitor Eljan Hajiyev follows with 370 points. Greco-Roman wrestler Murad Ahmadiyev has earned 320 points, as has judo athlete Zelim Tchakaev.

Freestyle wrestler Arseniy Baluev also has 320 points, along with Greco-Roman wrestler Eldaniz Azizli, who shares the same score.

The ranking table of Azerbaijani athletes is a monthly list published by the Ministry of Youth and Sports that shows the top?ranked national team athletes in Olympic sports.

The list assigns rating points to athletes based on their results in international competitions, and these points are then used to rank the athletes.

The higher an athlete's performance in international events, the more points they earn.
