Cooperation and partnership between Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AzerTAc) and Russian ITAR-TASS News Agency has solid basis. This opinion has been voiced today at a meeting in AzerTAc with editor-in-chiefs of ITAR-TASS news agency Alexandr Kopnov and Natalia Savina.
Director General of AzerTAc Aslan Aslanov said national news agencies of Azerbaijan and Russia had close cooperation within international news alliances. He added the two agencies support each-other, conduct exchange of news and experience.
During the meeting, the sides underlined the importance of reciprocal visits in terms of strengthening bilateral relations. Aslanov said important tasks of news agencies could only be fulfilled in the atmosphere of close cooperation.
Alexandr Kopnov, in turn, praised friendly and cooperative relations between ITAR-TASS and AzerTAc. He underlined the role of AzerTAc in development of these relations. Kopnov noted close cooperation between ITAR-TASS and AzerTAc also shows that Azerbaijan-Russia relationship was at high level. He recalled the fact that on Russian President Dmitry Medvedev`s decree, Aslan Aslanov was awarded an Order of Friendship for contribution to the development of Azerbaijani-Russian relations. This also shows the high level of relationship between the two agencies and countries. The editor-in-chiefs of ITAR-TASS also became familiar with the working conditions at AzerTAc`s departments.
