Azerbaijan`s Commissioner for Human Rights Elmira Suleymanova has met with the UK ambassador Peter Bateman. During the meeting, they discussed prospects for joint cooperation in the field of human rights.
Suleymanova briefed the diplomat on the activity of the Ombudsman Office. She said the Office attaches importance to cooperation with state bodies, NGOs, as well as international organizations and foreign embassies in Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan`s commissioner for human rights said the Office actively participates in the European Council`s and European Union`s projects, including the Twinning and Eastern Partnership ones. The Ombudswoman added these relations would continue to develop even more. Peter Bateman underscored he supports effective proposals of the Ombudsperson.
