05 February 2011 [12:13] - Today.Az
Azerbaijan must improve the legislation regarding the transfer of housing rights granted by the state to the families of Karabakh war disabled people in case of veterans' death, Minister of Labour and Social Protection Fuzuli Alakbarov told media.
He said that it would be fair if the families of Karabakh war handicaps not to lose the right to housing, given by the state in case of death of the veterans.
The initiative was previously voiced by MP Ganira Pashayeva at the first meeting of the spring session of the Azerbaijani Parliament in 2011.
"Karabakh war handicaps stand in the queue for housing, but if they die before the turn comes up, the families of these people can not enjoy the privilege to get an apartment," Ganira Pashayeva said. She said that given the care and attention of the state to families of martyrs and war invalids, the existing problems must be resolved.
According to the existing legislation, today after the death of Karabakh war invalids in Azerbaijan, their families lose their right to housing, given by the state.
