A mud volcano erupted on the Khara-zira island of Baku archipelago, 50km southwest of Baku, the Institute of Geology of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences said.

The volcano last erupted nine years ago. The first signs of the eruption were registered in 1810. AzerTAg
