Seismologists have recorded 15 notable earthquakes off the coast of Kamchatka over the past week, according to Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations, AzerNEWS reports.

The regional department of the ministry said on Monday that the seismic events were recorded between August 3 and 9.

“Fifteen seismic events that were not felt by residents were recorded from August 3 to 9,” the statement said.

According to the ministry, one earthquake was recorded near Kamchatka over the past 24 hours. The tremor was not felt in any populated areas.
