US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Anne Derse will leave Baku on Friday due to end of her diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan.
The diplomat said she would stay in the United States for a time and then would take the office of US ambassador in Lithuania.
Derse said President Obama had not announced yet the name of new ambassador to Azerbaijan.
Anne Derse has been in the post of US ambassador to Azerbaijan since May 2006.
