14 people died and 49 were injured in the result of a terror act at the January 20 metro station in Baku 15 years ago on March 19 of 1994.
The Supreme Court of Azerbaijan proved that the terror act was prepared by the special services of Armenia and committed by members of the Lezguin Sadval separatist organization.
Armenian head department of national security took an active part in the formation, financing and arming of this organization. In April-May of 1992 30 citizens of Azerbaijan of Lezguin nationality passed a special training for committing the terror acts in Lusakert settlement of the Nairi region of Armenia.
The investigation revealed that under the instruction the diversion was also planned in Nizami cinema, Respublika palace and Baku lamp plant.
30 members of the Sadval organization, charged with committing an explosion at the January 20 station, were brought to responsibility. Two of them were arrested to capital punishment and 9 to long-term imprisonment.
