On 12 November Leader of Azerbaijan Liberal Party, Prof. Dr. Lala Shevket has received Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Azerbaijan Jon Ramberg and Royal Norwegian Embassy's First Secretary Richard Scarborough.
A wide range of issues has been discussed during the meeting including the geopolitical situation in the region and the world, socio-political situation in Azerbaijan, problems with democracy and human rights in the country, fate of political prisoners, opposition's plans after the 2008 presidential election, perspectives of its participation at the 2009 municipal and 2010 parliamentary elections, as well as relations between Azerbaijan and Norway.
