A court hearing on the case of the imprisoned editor-in-chief of the Azadlyg newspaper Gazimat Zahid has been put off today in the Yasamal district court presided by judge Sudaba Mamedova.
The due information has been provided by the defender of the reporter Elchin Sadygov.
He said it was impossible to bring G.Zahid to the court due to icy roads and, therefore, the court decided to postpone the trial for January 15, 11:00 a.m.
It should be reminded that G,Zahid was imposed a preventive sanction in a form of a two months arrest by decision of the Yasamal district court.
The Baku Court of Appeal approved the resolution.
G.Zahid is accused of violating Article 221 (hooliganism) and Article 127 (causing deliberate harm to human health) of the Criminal Code.
