Azerbaijan has said that its positions came under Armenian fire in liberated Kalbajar region, Shusha city and Nakhchivan.

On August 15, starting from 1900 to 1925 (GMT+4), the Armenian armed forces located in Basarkechar's Zarkand settlement shelled Kalbajar's Yukhari Ayrim settlement, the Defence Ministry reported on August 15.

Moreover, starting from 2037 to 2040 on the same day, illegal Armenian armed detachments on the Azerbaijani territory, where Russian peacekeepers are temporarily deployed, fired at the Azerbaijani army unit located in the vicinity of Shusha city from Mukhtarkand and Gaybali.

On August 16, the ministry said that starting from 0930 the Armenian armed forces started shelling the Azerbaijani army positions in the direction of Heydarabad settlment of Nakhchivan's Sadarak region from Vedi's Arazdeyen settlement.

Nakhchivan Sadarak region also came under fire of Armenian units on August 15, starting from 12:00 to 12:30. The Armenian armed forces units from the positions in the Arazdeyen settlement of the Vedi region using sniper riffles, assault rifles and machine guns periodically subjected to fire the positions of the Azerbaijan Army in the direction of the Sadarak region of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry reported.

There are no losses or wounded among the military personnel of the Azerbaijan Army.

The ministry ruled out any casualties among the Azerbaijani army personnel. It added that the opposing side was silenced by retaliatory fire and the Azerbaijani army units control the operational situation.
