Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that the liberation of the Nagorno-Karabakh region is the most important event of the 30th anniversary of Azerbaijan's independence.

Erdogan made the remarks while addressing a special session of the Azerbaijani Parliament being held today.

Erdogan arrived in Azerbaijan on June 15.
