The president Ilham Aliyev received the representative staff consisting of the members of the Executive Council of the Children Fund (UNICEF), Development Program (UNDP), Population Fund (UNFPA) and Worldwide Food Program (WFP) of UNO yesterday.

This was informed to APA from the press-service of the President Office.

I.Aliyev said that Azerbaijan attached great importance to the collaboration with the UNO structures, and assistances rendered by UNO to Azerbaijan was significant. The state head said that Azerbaijan's relations with the international organizations and with UNO is developing and the projects carrying out in our country in collaboration with the UNO structures serve for improving conditions of children, old people, poor people and refugees.

The resident-connective of UNO in our country Marko Borsotti in his turn said that such a wide composition of the representative staff's visit to Azerbaijan was realized in the frame of the reforms carried out in UNO.

The leader of the representative staff Forsyth Mejia said that they familiarized with works of the different structures of UNO in Azerbaijan and also stressed that Azerbaijan is selected as an example by the four important organizations of UNO. He stated that he was sure their reports to be prepared would be both significant for Azerbaijan and for the 4 organizations of UNO.
