The Azerbaijani thermal power plant (TPP) generated about 1.85 billion kilowatt hours of electricity in January-March 2011, the JSC Azerenergy (production and distribution of electricity in the Azerbaijani regions) reported today.
The TPP generated about 642.5 million kilowatt hours of electricity in March which is 2 million more than projected earlier.
The TPP consist of eight units with capacity of each 300 megawatts each. The first, second, fourth and eighth power units operate at full capacity. The third and fifth units set aside as reserve.
The reconstruction work is close to completion on the seventh unit. The reconstruction work also launched on the sixth unit.
Based on the dispatching schedule, the station's daily output is 15 million kilowatt-hours.
