SOCAR Georgia Petroleum was awarded the prize as a “The first-rate taxpayer in state budget in the business sector in Georgia”.
The awarding ceremony was arranged by the Union of Oil Products Producers, Importers & Consumers of Georgia. According to SOCAR, last year SOCAR Georgia Petroleum paid 150 million Lari to the state budget of Georgia.
Also SOCAR Georgia Petroleum was recognized as the company largely investing in Georgia in 2010, having petrol stations with best infrastructure and the best charity company of 2010.
Besides, the Kulevi Black Sea Terminal was awarded with Diploma “Oil & Oil Products Terminal with the Best Infrastructure 2010”.
Union of Oil Products Producers, Importers & Consumers of Georgia was founded in February 2004 and since 2004 has performed events to name and give award to the companies on the oil products market of Georgia making the biggest contribution in the country`s infrastructure development and also for some other nominations.
