The BAKI-PRAQA brewery of the Czech company DESTILA Brno was officially opened in the Novkhani village of Baku June 16, the Czech Embassy in Azerbaijan reported.
The embassy reported that the brewery's capacity will be 1.5 million liters per year. The Czech technologies and Bohemian recipes, as well as raw materials supplied from the Czech Republic - malt, hops, and others, will be used in producing a high-quality Czech pilsner-type beer. The company from the Czech Republic - PALI Chotěboř will supply the necessary equipment for bottling the beer.
"Azerbaijan is one of the most promising trading partners of the Czech Republic. There are all the basic prerequisites for the further development of mutual cooperation, which has a long tradition," Ambassador of the Czech Republic Radek Matula said at the opening ceremony.
He said an intergovernmental agreement on mutual protection and promotion of investments will soon be finalized for the signing. "Thus, the legal framework of our bilateral relations will be equipped with the latest document that is important for business," Matula said.
"The Czech banks with the participation of the Czech state insurance company intend to consider the scheme of financing of cooperation projects and the provision of loans to Azerbaijani customers for purchase of the Czech goods and equipment," Matula said.
