Azerbaijani Accounting Chamber Chairman Heydar Asadov and Senior Country Economist at World Bank (WB) Christos Kostopulos discussed the results of the second project on technical assistance for institutional development (IBTA-II), the chamber reported.
The sides exchanged views on the preparation of a report on the completion of the IBTA-II project, as well as on updating data on the components of the project.
The meeting also discussed issues of compliance with the laws "On budget system" and the "On public procurements" while conducting oversight activities by the chamber, audit coverage of investment costs and the medium-term forecasting of the state budget.
The IBTA-II project cost 7.47 million SDR ($10.6 million). The IBTA-II project was approved in 2002. It covered all four components of the previously specified 10 - strengthening governance, control over the state financial expenditure, reforming the social costs and project management.
