Azerbaijani citizens reduced import of goods for personal use by 15.3% this March compared to February of the year.
The State Customs Committee (SCC) informs that according to customs pay-in slips, individuals imported consumer goods for $382.46 million for Jan-Mar 2010.
“The figure is by 39.02% ($24.6 million) less against the import figure of Jan-Mar 2009,” the Committee reported.
This March import for personal use reached $13.56 million versus $11.758 million in February and $13.147 million in January of the year.
Last year country’s such import reached $216.355 million, including $21.046 million in December (the best index for 2009).
For Jan-Mar 2010 overall import of Azerbaijan totaled $1.158 bn with the share of individuals at the level of 6.14% ($71.103 million).
