The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) prepared a new gas supply concept, the company said.
SOCAR's sub-company Azeriqaz in collaboration with European specialists has prepared a concept of reconstruction and upgrade of gas supply system.
Its priority is to ensure regular gas supply to consumers that will be provided by construction of medium-pressure gas pipelines and switching to use of polyethylene pipes.
Centralized system of control over condition of the system will be created simultaneously, and prepayment gas meters with use of smart cards will be installed for the population.
