Azerbaijan and Spain are to sign a document on cooperation in the sphere of information and communication technologies, the Azerbaijani Communication and IT ministry reported.
The question of signing the agreement was discussed during Azerbaijani Communication and IT Minister Ali Abbasov's meeting with the newly appointed Azerbaijani Ambassador to Spain Altay Afandiyev.
Abbasov informed the ambassador that the 66th plenary session of the U.N. has adopted a resolution on an East-West informational superhighway project proposed by Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan intends to involve Spanish company Telefonisa with the project.
